Scott Kenney, a Mechanical Engineer, had his first taste of the power industry as an engineering intern with a municipal power company in Lakeland Florida in 1989. After graduating from the University of South Florida he spent over 31 years with General Electric in various roles. He started in June 1992 in Schenectady NY at GE's "Turbine University" where he spent one year learning disciplines in Gas, Medium and Large Steam, Generator, and Controls. For 6 years he managed gas turbine outages and DLN upgrades. In 1998 he became a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt leading quality programs for the SE US Field Services business. In 2000 he joined GE's Contractual Services LTSA Business and managed five LTSA Contracts between Florida and Texas. His final role with GE starting in 2009 was as the Global Program Manager for GE's F fleet of gas turbine compressor upgrades. He helped develop tooling, procedures, and performed as technical instructor to over 250 engineers and technicians all of the world. He also performed over 125 compressor upgrade outages onsite in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. He has personally installed over 8000 IGV vanes and was GE's SME for IGV systems. He was lured away by PSM (now Hanwha) in 2023 to become a Global LTSA Sales Director for customers with GE and Siemens Gas Turbines and did so for three years. He has now gone on to start Omni Turbine Services in 2026. He has an office in Knoxville Tennessee as well as one in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. His mission is to use his vast experience and passion for quality work to be the customer advocate, technical expert, and guide. From outage planning, vendor selection, parts planning and inspection, and onsite representation during outages, he will be your eyes and ears to ensure a timely and quality ouage.
